Winter bugs could disrupt lessons

Teachers unions are warning of disruption to lessons this week as thousands of staff are expected to call in sick with widespread outbreaks of flu and the norovirus. This winter could be the worst flu season in nine years, experts predict, with cases already up 73 per cent from last year and the winter vomiting bug norovirus still spreading.
