Bassong relives Latics blow

Magpies defender rues missed opportunity Sebastien Bassong admits Newcastle were left hugely disappointed by Wigan's late leveller on Saturday. The Magpies appeared to have done enough to take all three points in the crunch contest, edging in front with only three minutes left on the clock. Latics midfielder Ryan Taylor had opened the scoring early on at St James' Park, but Michael Owen stepped off the bench to restore parity and Obafemi Martins fired Joe Kinnear's side in front with time running out.
