Posted to the web 17 November 2008 Bala Muhammad So Obama is US President-Elect. And so, there is much hope he will be so different from outgoing President Bush. But what many people outside America may find hard to comprehend is 'the way America works'. Obama may bring change, as he preached he would, but it will be difficult, if not impossible, to bring change as many would want it; in the time they want it; and in the quantity they want it. First, investors. They would want a quick fix to restore confidence in the economy. They would hope that the Obama effect rubs off on the stock market. But this is not going to happen any time soon.
