Posted to the web 17 November 2008 Jimitota Onoyume Militants yesterday morning abducted a staff of Shell, Mr. Fidelis Akpoghiran in Port Harcourt. Army and Joint Task Force spokesman in the state, Lieutenant Col Sagir Musa who confirmed the development to the Vanguard said he was kidnapped around Rumuodomanya. He explained that shortly after they disappeared with him, the kidnappers demanded seven million Naira as ransom for him to be released. At press time he said security operatives were battling to secure the release of the hostage.
