At the end of September the aircraft parts manufacturer acquired certain assets of Unison Industries, a subsidiary of General Electric's (NYSE:GE - News ) aviation business unit. The price tag: $69 million in cash. TransDigm (NYSE:TDG - News ) acquired the product line that included magnetos, a device that provides a charge of high-voltage power to spark plugs, harnesses and components. Finding tuck-in acquisitions is crucial to the company.
