Voters nixed proposal on Election Day LEWISTON, Maine (AP) — Olympia Gaming says a Maine casino is not in the cards. A week after Maine voters rejected a proposal for a $184 million Oxford County casino, Olympia's Dean Harrold said that while he has high praise for Maine, he has no future plans in the state. "We always look for opportunities. There's a couple out there, but right now there's nothing planned for Maine," Harrold, who ran the casino campaign in Maine, told the Sun Journal of Lewiston.
