CAPTAINS should be yellow-carded for slow over rates and if they don't improve quickly, their best bowler should be banned from bowling for periods of the match to combat slow play, according to former Australian coach John Buchanan. The call came as Ricky Ponting continued to defend his performance and that of his team in falling behind on the over rate and then opting to use part-time bowlers to speed things up at a critical moment, which might have cost his side a shot at victory in the fourth Test against India.
