Murder? Woman stamped to death

Published Date: 11 November 2008 A WOMAN died in Lynn after being subjected to an "appalling" attack that left her with 21 breaks to her ribs, an inquest has heard. A post mortem revealed Latvian Baiba Baltkaja was most likely repeatedly stamped upon. The 58-year-old died in hospital three days after the attack but despite “comprehensive and detailedâ€_ police inquiries and an early arrest it is unlikely anyone will ever be prosecuted because of a lack of reliable witnesses, a hearing at Lynn County Court was told on Friday.
