Argentina's western province of Neuquen has reached preliminary agreements on the renegotiation of oil field concessions with Argentinian oil producer Pluspetrol and Petrobras Energia, a unit of Brazil's state-led Petrobras, La Manana de Neuquen newspaper reported Saturday. Governor Jorge Sapag said the deals, which are being renegotiated with a view to spurring more exploration and production, involve nine fields, the paper reported. For Pluspetrol, the fields are Aguada Baguales, Centenario, Loma Jarillosa Este, El Porvenir and Puesto Touquet while for Petrobras Energia they are Aguada de la Arena, Rincon de Aranda, Rio Neuquen and Veta Escondida.
