Neighbors may buy or lease land in Jeffersonville

They want to keep riverfront view Facing a sharp reduction in its endowment income this year, the foundation that operates the 100-acre Perrin Park in Jeffersonville is taking steps to give up a small but significant piece of nearby property. And some of the neighbors of that 2.2-acre tract, concerned that its sale could mean losing a scenic riverfront view, may band together to lease or possibly buy the land. "I think we're going to cut a deal," Phil McCauley, a director of the Perrin Family Park Foundation, said last week. Lease terms haven't yet been approved by foundation directors, McCauley said.
