Years ago, I remember reading in the news a proposal to build a microbrewery in downtown Logan, but the Logan Municipal Council then wouldn’t allow it, citing among other things the fear that kids going home from Logan High School would be able to stop in and get drunk (completely asinine). Well, there may be another proposal to build a microbrewery on the horizon. The following item is on the Logan Planning Commission’s agenda for Nov. 13: PC#08-072 The Logan Downtown Alliance, applicant, proposes a text amendment to the Logan City Land Development Code and the Logan Municipal Code.The proposed change would allow alcoholic beverage manufacturing and permit Brew restaurant in the Commercial Central zone.
