Buried on the depth chart, QB still working hard BY DAVID DORSEY • FLORIDA TODAY • November 7, 2008 On the 53-man roster, Josh Johnson probably ranks 53rd on the depth chart. The 22-year-old Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie has little hope of playing this season, being fourth on the quarterback depth chart behind two proven veterans in Jeff Garcia and Brian Griese plus Luke McCown. Johnson, a fifth-round draft pick this year out of Division I-AA San Diego University, put up some compelling statistics in college -- he threw 43 touchdown passes as a senior and had just one interception -- but he did so playing against the likes of Azusa Pacific, Dayton, Davidson and Butler.
