Evans sisters become Hall of Famers

By BRANDON HANNAHS • Staff Writer • November 5, 2008 WEST LAFAYETTE - Amy and Christy Evans were remarkable basketball players during their years at Ridgewood High School, but both made marks at the collegiate level. Amy paced the attack at Ohio Wesleyan University, while Christy led the College of Wooster on the court. Both graduated from their respective schools in 1992 and were recently rewarded for their on-court skills by being named to their schools' Hall of Fames. At OWU, Amy was a three-time North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) selection, set the school record with 406 assists and also finished with 887 points. As a senior, she led OWU to a 23-3 mark, the NCAC title and the school's first NCAA Division III tournament appearance. Christy also had an accomplished career for the Scots.
