Vienna - Human rights activist Bianca Jagger has offered the finder of a €200 000 ($242 000) ring she lost in Salzburg earlier this year a compromise in the row over a reward, her lawyer said on Tuesday. Jagger has so far refused to pay the man, Reinhard Ringler, the €10 000 ($13 000) reward he is entitled to under Austrian law because of the "long delay" before handing the ring in to police. In Austria, finders are entitled to 5% of the value of the recovered object. However, "in a gesture to settle the matter", Jagger had agreed to pay €9 000 ($10 000) of the money to Amnesty International and the other €1 000 ($1 200) to Ringler's daughter, Jagger's lawyer Gabriel Lansky said.
