Shortage doubles cauliflower price

Wednesday, October 29, 2008 Khalid Iqbal Rawalpindi Residents of the twin cities were faced with high prices of cauliflower, which was sold at Rs60 per kilogram due to shortage in its peak season here Tuesday. Two days back, the same vegetable was being sold at Rs35 per kg. “I purchased cauliflower at Rs35 per kg four days back, but the shopkeepers are selling it at Rs60 today,” Rizwana Ahmed, a housewife and a resident of Kamalabad, told ‘The News’ on Tuesday.
