Wassell receives silver wings after graduating Air National Guard 2nd Lt. William M. Wassell has pinned on silver wings after graduating from Specialized Undergraduate Pilot Training at Key Field, Meridian, Miss., and earned an aeronautical rating of pilot in the Air Force. Wassell is the son of William Wassell and Jill Beyt, both of New Iberia. His wife, Angela, is the daughter of Calvin and Sharon Olivier of New Iberia. He graduated in 1996 from Catholic High School of New Iberia, and owns two bachelor's degrees from Louisiana Tech. Ray graduates from Hargrave OCS CHATHAM, VA. - Cody Ray, son of Ron Ray and Carolyn D'Oerle of New Iberia, graduated from the Officers Candidate School conducted by Hargrave Military Academy in August.
