MedImpact to Deliver e-Prescribing Solutions with SureScripts-RxHub

MedImpact, the largest Pharmacy Benefits Manager (PBM) that does not sell drugs, will launch an electronic prescribing platform with SureScripts-RxHub, a leader in securely connecting physician e-prescribing tools with critical data sources for member eligibility, formulary and drug history information. The Institute of Medicine (IOM) reported that more than 1.5 million Americans are injured every year by medication errors. In the same report, the IOM recommended that all prescriptions be written and received electronically by the year 2010.
