In a case with “Faina” Ukraine shows rare nobleness. A vessel under the flag of Belize belongs to the Panama company, cargo from the moment of loading – the property of Kenya, all responsibility for destiny of a vessel and crew under the international laws is born by the ship-owner – citizen of Israel, among seamen there are no minor and dependent persons deprived of the option. Nevertheless Kiev is under pressure, messages of mass-media dazzle with the information on the next consultations spent by the Ukrainian side with those or other involved subjects. The conclusion – Ukraine, perhaps the first Post-Soviet country which adopts experience of the “spiritless” West and aspires to protect the citizens where they would not be and whom they would not be. The possible reproach that such actions relate to cargo “Faina” can be rejected easily if to recollect recent successful release of the Ukrainian seamen from “Leman Timber” (them by the way was much less)
