Nader campaign makes stop on south campus

Issue date: 10/14/08 Section: The Scott Conference Center hosted a rally for independent presidential candidate Ralph Nader last Friday. The rally began as Green Party senatorial candidate Steve Larrick shared a couple of thoughts about Nader and hopes for third party progress. Larrick is challenging Republican Mike Johanns and Democrat Scott Kleeb for retiring Sen. Chuck Hagel's seat. Following Larrick's remarks, the audience watched a short video highlighting several positions shared by Obama and McCain that constrasted with Nader's position. After the video presentation, Larrick and a full audience welcomed the independent candidate onto the stage. A myriad of issues were addressed by Nader, many of which were related to the economy.
