Records are broken at Spa's third club gala

Published Date: 10 October 2008 Records tumbled across all age groups and personal best times were aplenty at Leamington's third club gala. Eight-year-old Jade Pickett set a new club record (11.22sec) for one width butterfly, while Mark McCorquodale set a record of 57.03 in the 100m freestyle 15/16 age group category and Alex de Tullio smashed both the 17/24 and open 100m breaststroke times with swims of 1.08.69 and 1.08.63. Rob Robson a 16-year-old record in the 25/39 years individual medley with a time of 1.07.32. More than 60 swimmers achieved personal best times (pbs). A strong turnout of six to eight-year-olds racing over one width got the evening under way.
