Published Date: 14 October 2008 A devout Christian is due to begin an appeal against an employment tribunal ruling that British Airways did not discriminate when it asked her to stop wearing a cross. Although Nadia Eweida still works for the airline, which has since changed its uniform policy to allow a cross to be worn, she said the appeal is to ensure Christians everywhere are free to "show their faith". Miss Eweida said she was told by a manager to remove her cross necklace or hide it from sight when she was working on the check-in desk during a diversity awareness meeting in October 2006.
