Scanning gates to be set up to counter terrorism

Tuesday, October 14, 2008 RAWALPINDI: The Ministry of Interior has issued directives to 43 cantonments of the country for installation of scanning gates at more than 300 internal and external points, including Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar and Quetta, to counter the wave of terrorism across the country. All the vehicles and motorcycles would be checked through the scanning gates before entrance.
