(the “Company”) (NYSE:KND) today announced the opening of Kindred Hospital The Palm Beaches in Palm Beach County, Florida, and announced plans for a new freestanding hospital in Melbourne, Florida. Kindred Hospital The Palm Beaches is a 70-bed freestanding long-term acute care (“LTAC”) hospital in Riviera Beach in Palm Beach County, Florida. The Company currently operates eight hospitals in Florida. The Company also announced plans to open a 60-bed freestanding LTAC hospital in Melbourne, Florida.
