Eric Zorn: Bye bye Netflix

I canceled our Netflix membership the other day after my wife and I came to the long overdue realization that we're just not Netflix people. We thought we were. The online movie-rental company is an ideal service for busy consumers who are just far enough behind in their movie-watching not to need to have the newest video releases available at moment's notice, and who are well organized enough to set up a list on the computer of films they'd like to see. As you probably know, for a modest monthly charge, Netflix sends you rental DVDs in the mail, and provides a handy, postage-paid return envelope. When you're done watching, you pop the DVD back in the mail and, just a few days later, the next movie on the list you have created shows up in your mailbox.
