Beijing (PTI): China on Monday asked the US to refrain from the proposed $6.5 billion arms sales to Taiwan and said such military exchanges between the two sides had damaged America's relationship with the Communist nation. Chinese Defence Minister Liang Guanglie strongly protested the forthcoming American-Taiwanese military rendezvous, with the visiting US Senator Chuck Hagel in Beijing.
