Myanmar inks energy deal with Thailand, Singapore: report

YANGON (AFP) - Myanmar has signed an agreement with Thai and Singaporean companies to provide the two energy-hungry nations with electricity from a hydro-power project, state media reported Sunday. The project in southern Myanmar will generate 600 megawatts of electricity, the New Light of Myanmar said, and the deal was signed on Thursday in the reclusive nation's new capital Naypyidaw.
