OSLO, Oct 13 (Reuters) - Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS.L: ) has sold a 9.98 percent stake in Norwegian insurance company Storebrand (STB.OL: ), a transaction worth 987.8 million Norwegian crowns ($159.3 million), the bookrunner ABN AMRO said on Monday. Royal Bank of Scotland has not been listed among the big registered Storebrand shareholders. But the sold stake corresponds to a block of shares held by Kaupthing Bank Hf, the collapsed Icelandic bank (KAUP.IC: ), which has held a total of nearly 20 percent of Storebrand, including shares owned by its custody services firm Arion.
