Posted to the web 13 October 2008 Efforts to tame cancer in the country yesterday in Abuja received a boost with a million dollar donation from the US-based Allied Energy Corporation. The donation would support the initiative of the US-based NGO, Africa Cancer Care Inc (ACCCI) to establish cancer screening and treatment centre in Abuja and in each of the six geo-political zones. Announcing the donation at a National Cancer Walk to raise awareness on the scourge, ACCI founder, Dr Eucharia Iwuanyawu, said the donation would go a long way to bring succour to thousands of cancer sufferers in Nigeria.
