Army outsiders

Three foreign-born U.S. soldiers felt the call to serve adopted homeland They risk their lives daily for the U.S. Army. But they aren't all Americans. Some aren't even fluent in English. They are the Army's outsiders, soldiers who give everything for a country to which they don't fully belong. The Iraqi Wrapped around the top bedpost are two rosaries. In front of them, and the bottom bunk that belongs to him, Pvt. Hakar Akraee stands holding his Quran. Akraee's physical ability is tested daily in boot camp at Fort Knox. When he goes to war, some of his comrades wonder if his loyalty will be tested. They ask him: "How would you feel if you were to go to Iraq and you have to shoot your own people?"
