Erie residents lose Obama yard decorations For decades, John Garcia, 79, has been making known his political leanings by posting signs in his front yard. But, until this fall, Garcia never lost one to vandals or thieves. When Garcia stepped out of his Erie home Thursday, he noticed a Barack Obama sign he had hung on his tree was missing. He figured it might have blown away until he realized other signs missing from his yard, and his neighbor's. "It takes a lot of nerve on the part of some people to do something like that," Garcia said. Another Obama yard sign was nabbed from his lawn, and his neighbor also noticed three missing signs of support for the Democratic presidential candidate.
