Vincent Goodwill Jr. / The Detroit News DETROIT -- On the way to Detroit Henry Ford High to play a crucial Public School League game, Detroit Renaissance coach Antonio Watts witnessed an alarming scene and told his players to brace themselves. "We were coming down Evergreen (to Henry Ford) and saw a group of kids chasing another group down the street and we saw a lot of police cars," Watts said. "I thought to myself, 'Oh, boy, here we go,' and told the guys to put on their helmets." The scene was just part of what was a tumultuous week at Ford. There were shots fired near the school Wednesday. No one was injured or arrested. Then, earlier Friday, school officials received word that players from Ford were being threatened.
