Ideas to ease Lynn traffic congestion

Published Date: 10 October 2008 The worst problem is north-south traffic in Lynn at the moment. The eastern bypass regularly jams. In an ideal world what I would do is to dual the A11 from Thetford to Mildenhall, and put a second, new dual carriageway from Hunstanton to Thetford, more or less following the A134. West Norfolk would then be joined to the national dual carriageway network. Of course, part of the problem is that because of the river, there is no alternative route to the west. This fact should be used when lobbying for extra resources for the town. Of course the reality is that our government – whether Labour or Conservative – only ever wants to rip drivers off.
