Cleviprex causes blood pressure to fall quickly in cases of severe hypertension. Cleviprex can be compared to traditional agents such as nicardipine, labetalol, and nitroglycerin. Most patients achieve full recovery of blood pressure 5-15 minutes after the infusion is stopped. Cleviprex should not be administered in the same line as other medications and it should not be diluted.
