From Saturday's Globe and Mail Christopher Plummer's Quebec boyhood included genteel family get-togethers, pretty debutantes and repeat appearances by at least one inebriated visitor. Teatime, daily at 5, was a splendid affair – the women bustling, the food plentiful.
