Associated Press - October 10, 2008 6:53 AM ET LONDON (AP) - Yesterday's dismal mood on Wall Street has spread across global markets. European and Asian stocks have plummeted. In Vienna, the stock exchange has been suspended until midday after stocks tumbled 10% at the opening bell. NEW YORK (AP) - The Dow's falls over the past few days have been stunning, but they still haven't been enough to trip so-called "circuit breaker" mechanisms. The Dow would have to fall 1,100 points in a day to trigger the automatic timeouts in trading.
