Casino Should Pay For Ambulance, Fire Services By Bob Caudle THE MORNING NEWS Both Siloam Springs mayoral candidates agree on one thing -- the city should not foot the bill for an Oklahoma casino. At the Cherokee Casino in West Siloam Springs, Okla., plans call for an eight-story, 120,000-square-foot hotel with more than 140 rooms, a fitness room and meeting space. Projected cost for the hotel is $25 million, bringing the total expansion cost to $108 million. The casino would be in the Siloam Springs service area for fire and ambulance service. Officials in Siloam Springs attempted to strike a deal with the Cherokee Nation to provide electricity to the casino.
