EU rule aims to protect workers

Published Date: 08 October 2008 THE Working Time Directive is a collection of regulations designed to protect the health and safety of workers. The European Union legislation limits the maximum length of a working week to 48 hours in seven days. It also sets a minimum rest period of 11 hours in each 24 hours.
