Hands off the London Olympic Games pot warns Mayor of London Boris Johnson

Boris Johnson, the Mayor of London, has told MPs that he was against an early raid on the £1 billion Olympic contingency fund to ease fears over the funding of major building projects for the Games. He said: “I am very reluctant of any early spending of the contingency. That is where the argument is turning at the moment. “The cost pressures now are the Olympic village, the media centre and the stadium.
