Russian exports of primary aluminum to countries outside the Commonwealth of Independent States rose by 21.6% to 2.374 million mt in the first eight months of the year, according to preliminary data from Russia's Federal Customs Service released Tuesday. In addition, 16,500 mt was delivered to the CIS, which besides Russia comprises 11 other former Soviet republics - Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Belarus, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan.
