Clean technologies to create business opportunities, say panelists

PARIS — It is no surprise to say that electronics has positive and negative impacts on the environment. At the SAME Forum, in the Science Technological Park of Sophia Antipolis, South of France, panelists discussed how progress in electronics systems can help preserve the environment, reduce power consumption, improve power production efficiency and improve cars' gas mileage. "We live in a very exciting time because we are starting to take care of the impact of electronics on the environment," said Patrick Leteinturier, senior principal for automotive systems at Infineon Technologies, in his introduction.
