KOSOVSKA MITROVICA -- Some 1,000 Kosovo Serbs gathered today in Kosovska Mitrovica to protest against the deployment of the EULEX mission. Vice Chairman of the Assembly of Community of Serb Municipalities of Kosovo and Metohija Marko Jakšić sent a message from the protest to the international community and the government in Belgrade that Serbs in Kosovo will never accept the “illegal EULEX mission”. “Serbs are against the deployment of EULEX, because it is a mission of occupiers, whose goal is to take away the land we live on, our homes, steal our youth and the childhoods of our children,” Jakšić told the crowd. “Another reason for saying 'No' to the EU mission in Kosovo is because it wants to implement the Ahtisaari plan and create another Albanian state in the Balkans,” he said.
