Sunrise-based medical firm Pediatrix widens focus, changes name

Pediatrix has announced that it is taking on a new name -- Mednax -- to better reflect its growing business. Pediatrix Medical Group, the largest publicly traded healthcare company based in South Florida, is changing its name to Mednax, to reflect its broadening to physician services beyond pediatric specialties.
