Wall Street Finishes in Positive as Financials Rally

In what was a volatile day for markets, US stocks edged higher as a rally in banking stocks helped overshadow early losses. The Dow Jones industrial average (DJI) rose 32.73 points (0.29%), at 11,220.96. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index (SPX) added 5.48 points (0.44%) at 1,242.31.
