Plans to run trains and trams on the same line in the West Midlands are being considered. Network Rail and Centro, which is responsible for bus, rail and Midland Metro tram transport in the area, said proposals were being drawn up. A Metro extension has already been planned between Wednesbury and Dudley. The tram-train concept means the Metro and freight trains could share the existing two tracks on a disused line...
