Wilmington stations quietly conduct soft DTV test

Last week, four Wilmington, NC, TV stations did a soft test prior to their Sept. 8 analog shutdown. The 60-second shutdown occurred in silence, without a single viewer reporting a problem. The stations include WILM, WECT, WWAY and WSFX. The stations have been working to educate local viewers about the early shutdown.
