I just realized it’s been a while since I updated you on how I’m progressing with My Name Is Earl. The last time I wrote about the show, I was going through a boring block of episodes in the middle of Season 1. Well, I managed to finish S1, and am already 11 episodes into Season 2. Frankly, I don’t understand why this show gets such good reviews; I think the steadily decreasing number of viewers (from an average of 10.9 million in Season 1 down to 7.3 million in Season 3) says it all. Earl is simply too boring and repetitive, and not even the terrific Jaime Pressly can save it for me. The S2 storylines are exactly the same as S1, with Earl going down his list making amends for all the bad things he has done.
