Students interested in enrolling in LTC classes have to fill out an application for admission - available both in person at the Lafayette campus or online - and pay a $5 application fee. They must also provide high school transcripts or a GED, and any post-secondary transcripts, if applicable. LTC also administers the COMPASS exam, a placement test that helps LTC place students at the appropriate learning level in their discipline. "It's not an entrance exam," said Connie Chopin, director of student services for the Lafayette campus. "It helps us see where a student is, so we can make sure they get the most out of their education."...
