COOK OF THE WEEK:Children's librarian heads up Wednesday night suppers at Saltillo church

By Ginna Parsons Daily Journal SALTILLO - For all of you out there with mothers and grandmothers who don't use written recipes, but rather use recipes in their heads, David Prather has some sound advice. Get those recipes in writing today. "That is the first thing I'd tell people today about old recipes," said Prather, 50. "If you’ve got an older person in your family who cooks without recipes, who uses an old coffee cup to measure flour for her biscuits, get her to put that flour into that coffee cup and then you pour the flour into a measuring cup to get an accurate measurement. When they’re gone, those recipes are gone, too. I wish I'd done that."
