Police: One of Charlotte's most wanted stole Panther's car

By MICHELLE BOUDIN NewsChannel 36 Posted: Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2008 Carolina Panthers' rookie right tackle Jeff Otah A Carolina Panthers player is one of the victims in a carjacking that police say involved one of Charlotte's most wanted. Investigators say Marcellus Morris stole from one of this year's first-round draft picks –- lineman Jeff Otah. The Panthers' player's brother had actually borrowed the Cadillac Escalade and was carjacked in uptown. Charlotte’s Violent Criminal Apprehension Team, or VCAT, is looking for Morris. "As he pulled into his apartment complex, he noticed two guys standing on the corner," Officer Tim Slater said. "They approached him, one with a rifle, one with a pistol, pulled it on him, carjacked him, then robbed him." Police say they’ve identified 19-year-old Morris as one of the gunmen, and that he’s...
