Multi-crore rupee fuel racket busted

Marol policemen arrest four in fuel scam, seize 7,000 litres of fuel and three trucks The Manor Police on Monday busted a major fuel pilferage racket allegedly involving crores of rupees. The raid was conducted at Manor village on Western Express Highway Number 8. Four persons were arrested and a stock of fuel worth Rs 10 lakh and three trucks was seized from the site, 90 kms from Mumbai. Confirming the news, said Assistant Police Inspector (API) Rajkumar Khotmire of Manor police station, “Around 39 drums containing 7,000 liters’ of fuel and three trucks have been seized. But the main culprits behind the racket, brothers Manoj and Vinod Manoj Parasnath Singh, are absconding.
